"No More Bullies" Popular with PTO groups!

Bullying is a growing trend --- at school and on the internet. In this one-hour presentation, parents learn about different types of bullying, how to recognize that their child might be a target or a bully, and what they can do about this challenging problem. How to Talk with Your Kids. . .So They Will Want to Talk to You

Communication is such an important part of the parent-child relationship.  Improve communication. . .and relationships can improve!  Participants will examine three different parenting styles and their impact. Ten different communication "blockers" and their effects will be studied.  Participants will learn and practice the process of "active listening," as well as how to use descriptive encouragement, appreciation, constructive feedback, and other communication devices for improving their relationships with their children. Active Parenting Now in 3

A class will form based on the availability of those interested. Contact us to help determine dates.

"Active Parenting Now in 3,"
for parents of children ages 5-12, helps you learn to use positive communication, nonviolent discipline, effective encouragement, and logical consequences to raise responsible and cooperative children. "Active Parenting" is a nationally-recognized, research-based program with a long-standing history of excellence. Cost is $145 for the series, including the guidebook. A spouse or significant other can join for just $50.

Active Parenting of Teens

In "Active Parenting of Teens," you will learn about communicating with your teen effectively (with or without their help), building your teen's responsibility, inner strength, and courage, disciplining your teen, solving problems together, and talking with your teen about alcohol, drugs, sexuality, and other teen issues. The series is usually taught as three 2-hour classes.
