Children and teens often experience specific issues that can best be addressed through the support and understanding found in groups, led by a skilled and caring counselor. Based on clients' needs, Carlabeth Mathias offers counseling groups in the following areas:
Social Skills • Attention Deficit Disorder
Grief and Loss • Anger Issues • Divorce/Blended Families
Girl Talk - Especially for girls ages 12-14
Mondays, July 12, 19, 26, August 2 at 1:00-2:00 p.m.
This group is designed especially for girls ages 12-14 who want to strengthen their social skills, develop healthier relationships or become more confident in social situations. The group will focus on skill-building and increasing self-confidence. In a safe, friendly environment, the girls will be engaged in enjoyable activities to help increase skills in conversation, joining a group, reading social cues, choosing friends, and handling peer conflict or bullying. Girls ages 12-14. $140

Social Group for Boys - Grades 1-3

Help your son build his friendship and social skills through fun, age-appropriate experiences and activities. They are designed to foster positive peer interaction, build self-confidence, and provide support and skill development. This on-going social group usually meets twice a month for three months at a time. Commitment for all 6 sessions is necessary. $210
