Friends ‘N Fun
****A new social group for Kindergarten-1st grade!****
Mondays and Wednesdays, July 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, and 29
at 1:30-2:30 p.m.


This group is designed especially for the shy or anxious child who needs to build confidence in interacting with peers. This is the child who may play alone or may seek out other peers, but will more often than not play alone or alongside peers.  The goal is that by participating in this group, the children will feel more secure as they enter their kindergarten or first grade experience this fall. The group is limited to 6 children to provide personal attention. (NOTE: This is not a group appropriate for children with major social skills challenges.)  Kindergarten and Grade 1. $210

Yes, I Can Be A Friend!
Monday-Thursday, June 29-July 2 at 5:00-5:50 p.m.

Making and keeping friends can be challenging for some children. This camp helps boys and girls learn to initiate friendships and practice skills that will develop and nurture those friendships, such as compromise, problem-solving, and empathy. Grades 1-3. $120

Girls Rock!
Monday-Thursday, June 29-July 2 at 1:00-2:30 p.m.
or
Monday-Thursday, July 20-23 at 9:30-11:00 a.m.

This camp helps pre-teen girls identify and examine difficult relationships with other girls and learn strategies for dealing appropriately with bullying and “relational aggression,” whether in person or in cyberspace, as well as how to develop positive approaches to friendship. Though Girls Rule! is not a prerequisite, this is a great follow-up to that class. Grades 4-6. $195

Yes, I Can Stand Up for Myself
Monday-Thursday, July 6-9 at 1:00-1:50 (Grades 1-3)
Monday-Thursday, July 6-9 at 2:00-2:50 (Grades 3-5)

This class helps children develop assertiveness skills in a safe and nurturing atmosphere. Specific techniques empower the participants to gain skill and confidence in facing challenging situations, such as conflict and bullying. Grades 1-3 and 3-5. $120

Girls Rule! Being a Good Friend to Yourself & Others
Tuesday-Thursday, July 7-9 at 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
or
Tuesday-Friday, August 4-7 at 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

Betwixt and between --- pre-teen girls are faced with unique experiences. No longer a “little girl” but not quite a teenager, girls at this age often encounter a wide variety of challenges, especially with friendships. This camp helps empower girls, teaching them how to develop positive relationships with other girls and recognize and assertively solve problems with friends. Grades 4-6. $195

Incredible Guys!
Monday-Wednesday, July 13-15 at 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Middle school and junior high can be a tough age for guys developing friendships, especially if they have interests other than sports. Activity-oriented, this class help boys utilize their strengths and interests to find their niche with friends and gain self-confidence as they head into adolescence. Grades 5-7. $195

Mission: Fun with Friends ~ A Program for Boys
Monday-Thursday, July 20-23 at 3:00-4:45 p.m. (Grades 1-3)
Tuesday-Friday, August 4-7 at 12:30-2:15 p.m. (Grades 3-5)

Boys sometimes have challenges with attention, focus and impulsivity, which can cause friendship difficulties. This 5-day camp is full of fun activities based on a mission and mystery theme. Participants will learn to become "agents" with skills to search for clues in others’ behaviors and to problem-solve to help unravel the mysteries of initiating and maintaining positive peer interactions. $250
